استنكرت وزارة التربية والتعليم العالي، تدمير قوات الاحتلال مدرسة عميرة الأساسية المختلطة في تربية يطا، التي تقدم خدمات تعليمية لعدد من طلبة الصفوف من (1 – 4) الأساسية؛ إضافة إلى 15 طفل/ة في رياض الأطفال، في التجمع البدوي "واد عميرة" شرق يطا.
وأوضحت "التربية" أن هذه الجريمة تحرم الطلبة في هذا التجمع من الحصول على حقهم الحر والآمن في التعليم، مؤكدة أن هذه الجريمة تُمثل انتهاكًا صارخًا للقوانين الدولية واتفاقيات حقوق الإنسان، بما في ذلك القرارات الدولية التي تحمي حق التعليم، وتزيد هذه الإجراءات العدائية تفاقم الوضع التعليمي الصعب الذي يواجهه الطلبة في المناطق المتضررة. 
ودعت المجتمع الدولي والجهات الإنسانية إلى الوقوف في وجه هذه الممارسات، والعمل على ضمان حماية حقوق الأطفال والشباب في الوصول إلى تعليم آمن ونوعي، مؤكدة أهمية احترام هذه القوانين والاتفاقيات وتعزيزها، لضمان توفير فرص تعليمية عادلة.
يذكر أن الاحتلال يستهدف مدارس التجمعات البدوية في مسافر يطا بشكل متواصل وقد سبق وأن تم هدم مدرسة إصفي في المسافر.

Ministry of Education Condemns Demolition of Amira Basic School

In the context of targeting education and schools within the Bedouin communities in Masafer Yatta, Israeli occupation forces today demolished Amira Basic Co-ed School in Wadi Amira, east of Yatta.

Amira Basic School served 40 students from grades (1 – 4), in addition to 15 kindergarten students. Since its establishment at the beginning of 2023/2024 school year, both students and teachers have endured significant stress and fear due to repeated attacks targeting the school. Previously, students from the community attended distant schools, facing access and movement challenges, settler violence and adverse weather conditions, which hindered access to education, resulting in missed school days or forcing students to drop out.

The destruction of Amira School violates Israel’s duties as an occupying power to protect children’s rights and is a serious violation of international laws and human rights conventions. These crimes deprive students of their fundamental right to free and safe education, and further exacerbate the difficult educational situation facing students in the affected areas.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education strongly condemns these actions perpetrated by the Israeli occupation, and calls upon all international partners, friends and human rights organizations to help uphold International Humanitarian and Human Rights Law, in order to ensure Palestinian children’s right to access safe education, stop Israeli violations against education and halt all demolition orders against schools in East Jerusalem and Area C.
