أشادت وزارة التربية والتعليم بالتزام الشركاء الدوليين بدعم التعليم الفلسطيني ومساندتهم للجهود التطويرية التي تقودها الوزارة ضمن خطوات ممنهجة في سياق إصلاح التعليم وتجويد مخرجاته.
جاء ذلك خلال لقاء عقدته "التربية" برئاسة وزيرها أ.د. مروان عورتاني، مع عدد من ممثلي الدول المانحة لقطاع التعليم والمنظمات الدولية المتخصصة، بحضور وكيل الوزارة د. بصري صالح، ومساعد وزير الخارجية الفلسطيني للأمم المتحدة ومنظماتها السفير د.عمر عوض الله.
وتطرق عورتاني إلى مُجمل التحديات التي يواجهها قطاع التعليم الفلسطيني؛ نتيجة ممارسات الاحتلال المجحفة واستهدافه لهذا القطاع الحيوي، مثمناً في الوقت ذاته التعاون بين الوزارة والشركاء الدوليين وحرص بلدانهم ومؤسساتها على خدمة المنظومة التربوية؛ عبر مواصلة الدعم، وتحصين مرتكزات الشراكة.
كما تناول اللقاء واقع التعليم في القدس والمخاطر المحدقة به، وسياسات الأسرلة واستهداف المناهج؛ في إطار مخططات تطال مكونات الهوية والرواية وكي الوعي الجمعي من خلال هذه الممارسات الاحتلالية الجائرة.
بدورهم، أكد الشركاء الدوليين على روح الشراكة القوية مع الوزارة وترحيبهم بالجهود التطويرية الذي تقوم بها ضمن رؤى استشرافية، مجددين التزام دولهم ومؤسساتهم بديمومة الدعم لقطاع التعليم؛ بما يخدم الأولويات وينسجم مع الخطط والتوجهات التطويرية.

The Ministry of Education commended its international partners for their committment to support the Palestinian education and the Ministry's systematc reform and development efforts during a meeting held and headed by the Minister of Education Prof. Dr. Marwan Awartani with a number of Joint Financing Partners (JFPs) and representatives of some specialized international organizations, in the presence of Deputy Minister Dr. Basri Saleh and Ambassador Omar Awadallah, Assistsnt Minister for United Nations & Other Specialized Agencies - MOFA.

Awartani addressed the overall challenges facing the Palestinian education due to the Israeli occupation unjust practices. At the same time, he expressed his appreciation to the Ministry's international partners for their continued cooperation and support.

The meeting also dealt with the risks facing the Palestinian education in Jerusalem and the israelization policies targeting the curriculum in attempts to distort the Palestinian national identity and narrative.

Reaffirming their countries and institutions' committment to sustain support for the Palestinian education sector in a manner that serves priorities and goes in line with the Ministry's development plans and directions, the guests, in turn, emphasized partnership with the Ministry and welcomed its development efforts based on forward-looking visions.
