استنكرت وزارة التربية والتعليم، الاعتداء الوحشي على طالبات من مدرسة النهضة الثانوية في البلدة القديمة بمدينة القدس؛ حيث قام جيش الاحتلال ومستوطنوه برش غاز الفلفل على طالبات من المدرسة، كما احتجز طالبة أخرى في بيتها ومنعها من الذهاب للمدرسة.
وأكدت الوزارة أن استهداف الاحتلال للطلبة في القدس وقطاع غزة وفي كافة المناطق يمثل جريمة حرب تستوجب التدخل العاجل لوضع حد لانتهاكات الاحتلال ضد الأطفال والطلبة.
ونوهت "التربية" إلى أن هذه الجرائم المتواصلة تتطلب اتخاذ موقف من كافة دول العالم والمؤسسات الحقوقية والقانونية ومنظمات حماية الأطفال، خاصة في ظل تصاعد وتيرة الاعتداءات والانتهاكات التي باتت تندرج في سياق استهداف ممنهج وخطير ضد الأطفال الأبرياء، وعرقلة وصولهم إلى مدارسهم وحرمانهم من تلقي تعليم آمن.
Ministry of Education Condemns Israeli Assault on Female Students in Jerusalem
The Ministry of Education condemned a pepper-spray attack by Israeli soldiers and settlers on girls from al-Nahdda Secondary School in the Old City of Jerusalem and denounced the use of home confinement upon one of the girls, preventing her from attending school.
Calling upon the international community for an immediate intervention to put an end to Occupation's violations against Palestinan children, the Ministry affirmed that what's happening in Jerusalem, Gaza, and all other regions amount to a war crime.
The Ministry also stressed that these continuing crimes require all human rights and legal institutions and child protection organizations to take a firm stand in light of the escalation of Israeli systematic attacks and violations against innocent children, denying them their right to education and safe access to their schools.
