أدانت وزارة التربية والتعليم جريمة إعدام الاحتلال للطالب عطا الله ريان من بلدة قراوة بني حسان بمحافظة سلفيت، مؤكدةً أن القتل العمد للطلبة واعتقالهم والتنكيل بهم والاعتداء على مدارسهم، هي أشكال  لحرب الاحتلال على أطفال فلسطين وعلى حقهم في الحياة والتعليم. 
وشددت الوزارة على أن هذه الانتهاكات والاعتداءات الإجرامية تضرب بعرض الحائط كل المواثيق والمعاهدات الدولية الخاصة بحقوق الإنسان والطفل والحق في التعليم وغيرها.   
وطالبت "التربية" المجتمع الدولي ومؤسساته الرسمية والمدنية بإعلان موقف صريح يشجب هذه الأعمال الإجرامية ويضغط على دوله الاحتلال لوقفها، مؤكدةً أن تواصل جرائم الاحتلال بحق الشعب الفلسطيني؛ يأتي نتيجة للصمت الدولي المُطبق تجاهها.  
وكان الاحتلال قد أعدم الطالب ريان ظهر أمس، وهو أحد طلبة الصف الثاني عشر في مدرسة ذكور قراوة بني حسان الثانوية بمديرية تربية سلفيت، وكان قد أدّى قبل استشهاده إحدى الامتحانات النهائية للفصل الأول، ومن ثم توجه لمساعدة والده الذي يعمل بمجال صناعة الرخام في إحدى قرى محافظة نابلس، بحيث أعدمه الاحتلال بدم بارد على مفترق قرية حارس.

The Palestinian Ministry of Education condemned the Israeli occupation’s execution of the student Atallah Rayyan, from the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan in the Governorate of Salfit, stressing that the deliberate killing, detention, and abuse of students and the assaults on their schools are all forms of the war the occupation is waging on Palestinian children and their right to life and education. 
The Ministry stressed that these criminal violations and attacks undermine all international charters and treaties on human and child rights, including the right to education. 
The Ministry called on the international community and its official and civil institutions to declare a clear position condemning these criminal acts and pressuring the occupying state to stop them, affirming that the continuous occupation crimes against the Palestinian people is a result of the international silence towards it. 
The Israeli occupation executed the student Rayyan yesterday, a twelfth grader in the Qarawat Bani Hassan Secondary School in Salfit Education Directorate. Rayyan had taken one of the final exams for the first semester before being executed, and was on his way to help his father, who works in the marble industry in a village in Nablus Governorate, where the occupation executed him in cold blood at the junction of the village of Haris.
