About Us
eTwinning is a community of teachers and school staff hosted in a secure space. School teachers can take part in many activities such as joint projects with schools and classrooms across Europe and beyond. They can directly engage in communities of practitioners and enjoy the benefits of professional development opportunities available through The European School Education Platform.
The involvement of Palestinian schools in the eTwinning community allows teachers and students from Palestine to engage in scientific projects and cultural conversations with their peers in Europe and the region. These virtual collaborations are invaluable opportunities for experimenting with innovative learning methods and the transfer of good educational practices.
The National Support Organization provides pedagogical and technical support to hundreds of e-Twinners who come from a diverse pool of public, refugee, and private schools, located in major cities and remote marginalized areas.
We work with the Ministry of Education and the Palestinian schools to 1) build pedagogical projects with schools in Europe and the region; 2) Enhance language learning and intercultural dialogue; 3) contribute to the professional development of teachers in Palestine through their active participation in collaborative projects with their peers in other countries; 4) build communities of practice and specific training activities focused specifically on pedagogical and collaborative learning; and 5) work jointly on key priority areas, which include school and teacher well-being, digital learning, citizenship and values, and environmental protection in line with the thematic focus for the Erasmus+ program.
The National Support Office assists the Palestinian teachers during the process of registration, partner finding, project development, and project implementation. We promote eTwinning by training teachers, sharing information, the recognition of good practice, and awarding eTwinning National Quality Labels as a mark of excellence for teachers who implement successful projects.
